Comedian, actor and rapper Mike Epps is coming to Honolulu to ring in the new year.

“Breaking in the New Year with Mike Epps and Friends” is a special show presented by Capones Productions, scheduled for the Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall on Saturday, January 8 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets go on sale Saturday, December 4th.

To many, Mike Epps may be known as Ice Cube’s cousin Day-Day in the Friday films, but he’s also an accomplished stand-up comic, too. Inspired by old-school comics like Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor, Epps’ act is often raunchy and brutally honest, combining stories from his youth with modern-day observations and social commentary.

He has made recent cameos in hit movies Hancock and Hangover as “Black Doug” and is also slated to star in a biopic about Richard Pryor in which he has personally chosen by Richard Pryor to star before his death.

Doors open at 7:00 p.m. for ‘Breaking in the New Year with Mike Epps and Friends.’

Tickets can be purchased for $55, $45 and $35. Tickets go on sale Saturday, December 4th and can be purchased in person at the Blaisdell Box Office, online at Ticketmaster.com and at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Walmart locations and Sportsgear in Windward Mall. For phone orders, please call Ticketmaster toll free at (800) 745-3000.

For VIP packages or more concert information, please call Capone’s Productions at (808) 306-2926.
