About Listen for Life and “Notes for Nourishment”

Founded in 1998 and completely volunteer-run, Listen for Life has thus far affected the lives of 9 million people through its people, productions, and projects in 45 countries, including Travels with Music (now shown on the BBC), the MusicMessage Campaign in schools to raise awareness of the impact of violent/negative lyrics, and the launch of UN Peace Day events. Notes for Nourishment, the newest project, encourages musicians of any style, demographic, or culture to donate their time and talents to give benefit concerts that will collect donations for relevant causes in their own communities, offering “great music for a great cause”. To demonstrate the power and potential of the Notes for Nourishment concept in Hawaii, Donna Stoering offered to give these initial fundraising concerts for specific causes on four of the Islands this month.
