NBC shelves 'Hawaii'

NBC has announced that it is pulling “Hawaii” — its “other side of paradise” cop drama series — from its primetime lineup during November sweeps. According to trade magazine Variety, the Wednesday night slot will go to Heather Locklear’s “LAX,” which has struggled to find an audience on Monday nights. Contrary to an early report in TV Guide, however, “Hawaii” has not been cancelled. The show “will continue in production in Hawaii and will return at a later date with new episodes,” according to an NBC press release.  DISCUSS
